The Fat Cat Fest (FCF) is a party game for 1 or 2 players that blends feline competition with traditional Colombian food.
Game Modes:
-1 player vs local bot
-2 local players
-2 players online (requires two copies of the game)
Core Mechanic:
Eating like a rhythm game: arrows will appear and must be pressed precisely in the center of the circle. Missing slows down your recovery; hitting them in a row speeds up the eating.
Fruits with powers during the eating phase:
-Tomato: partially covers the input area
-Coconut: inputs flicker
-Pineapple: all inputs merge into one and time slows down
-Coffee: everything speeds up and eating is super fast if you hit correctly
Minigames:
Ten short, frantic minigames are played between eating rounds. The winner gains an advantage:
-Winner: automatically eats 4 inputs
-Loser: gets stunned with a spinning wheel; must rapidly press the interact button to recover
Detailed Minigames:
-Cat Fight: Whoever mashes button A the fastest wins. Both cats have a health bar that goes down.
-Exploding Cucumber: When holding the cucumber, players must stop a spinning wheel on the green section. Failing 3 times causes it to explode.
-Food War: Helmeted cats in carts move left and right, jump on trampolines, and throw grenade-limes. You lose if you fall off the map or run out of health.
-Meatball Hockey: Air hockey with a meatball. Players use plates as paddles. Best of 3 rounds.
-Plate Breaker: One player is the hammer, trying to break the other’s plate. The defender can go invisible. Both move around and press A to vanish or strike. Best of 3.
-Food Thief: Reflex game. First to interact with food wins. Touching an angry dog means a loss. Best of 3.
-Lucky Rope: Turn-based luck game. Each player cuts one of 5 ropes; one is bad and causes instant loss.
Art and Sound Style:
-Cartoon-like graphics, hand-drawn and animated
-Real voice recordings for effects and sounds
-Cartoon comedy vibes that create a fun, playful mood
Target Audience:
Designed for all audiences, especially casual or semi-casual players (kids, teens, or adults who don’t play much), thanks to simple controls and clear tutorials for each minigame.
Controls: Joystick or D-pad + one button — easy and accessible.
